" Your Curated Mini Indonesian Vacation in the Berkshires"
On September 23, 2017, Turn Park Art Space, located in the heart of West Stockbridge will be transformed into an Indonesian archipelago highlighting its six main islands - Java, Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Bali and Papua. Upon arrival, travelers will be handed a “Passport” with six empty circles. During their visit, “tourists” can “island hop” to collect six stamps from the six costumed tour guides while enjoying the wealth of Indonesia. There will be food, dance, music, arts and crafts as well as young Indonesian artists.
This year’s theme, “Temple of the Gods,”, will give visitors the opportunity to learn more about Indonesia’s diverse beliefs and traditions that have been in existence for hundreds of years. At the end of their visit, those who successfully collect six stamps will be awarded a special Indonesian country fair patch. It is an Indonesian adventure in the heart of the Berkshires!
Since the 19th century, country fairs have provided local people an opportunity to come together and enjoy the finest in entertainment, hand-made crafts, delicious food and to share information.
For Indonesians, food and family are everything, so what better way than a Country Fair to experience and enjoy all things Indonesian?
